Guitar lesson
Guitar is a very popular instrument for many genre like for example flamenco, bosanova, tango, folks or rock. For all these genre it is important to truly understand how the instrument works together with the body in a natural way, to be able to enjoy the part of music making freely, happily and without injury. In the guitar lessons I aim to guide you through the process of physically learning to master the instrument and in the meanwhile focus on the joy of music making. We will be using the classical guitar technique as a base for the performance of the music.
Diangelo Cicilia
Diangelo Cicilia studied classical guitar at the Rotterdam Conservatory in Holland. After completing these studies with high distinction, he continued to study guitar at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where he graduated Cum Laude, with special distinction for the promotion of contemporary Music. After these periods he continued his studies with Eliot Fisk, at the New England Conservatory in Boston. During this study year in Boston he won the prestigious Wild Card competition with the ensemble “Sauvage”. In addition to his guitar studies he also studied orchestration, percussion and trumpet. In the year 2005 Diangelo recorded and released the SACD ' New Dutch Guitar Music" with the German Label Cybele Records. From 2007 to 2009 , Diangelo has been a research fellow at the Osaka Gakuin Daigaku, researching about traditional Japanese music. He is currently working as a freelance performer and teacher in Osaka.
